This script enables the CVE-2023-32019 on Windows operating systems. CVE-2023-32019 is an information disclosure vulnerability in the Windows Kernel that could allow an attacker to view heap memory from a privileged process. The vulnerability fix is disabled by default, and this script enables it to mitigate the vulnerability.
The script performs the following steps:
- Gathers information about the operating system, specifically retrieving information about the OS release version.
- Proceeds to apply different registry key changes depending on the operating system version, either for Windows 11 or Windows 10, and checks whether the system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- After applying the appropriate registry key changes, the script writes an entry to the script log, indicating that the fix has been applied.
This script helps the end user in enabling the vulnerability fix without manually applying the registry changes.
